Welcome to Charlotte's Ride
We would like to take a moment and Thank you for visiting our website for Charlotte's ride. Charlotte dedicated her life helping others. She spent 31 years as a nurse, retired only to continue her mission by helping St. Jude's, Alabama Trail Riders, Relay for Life (Atmore Community Hospital), Panhandle Equine Rescue, and Five Flags Arabian Association.Charlotte started the Annual Saddle Up for St. Jude ride in 1999 and continued to host it yearly through 2007.Charlotte was diagnosed with Cancer in early 2007 but still hosted the ride that October along with help from Nikki Sweet, Melany Howard and Melissa Brown. Charlotte passed away late 2007 and is sadly missed. The ride started out being hosted on the Salzer Farm in Davisville, Fl., then was moved to Coldwater Recreation Area in Milton, Fl.
St. Jude meant a lot to Charlotte and in all her years hosting the ride she raised over 30,000.00. Melissa Brown took over the ride in 2008 along with help from Nikki Sweet and Melany Howard and raised over 3,000.00 for St Judes. Due to family obligations Melissa stepped down from hosting the ride. This year the ride will be hosted by Nikki Sweet and Melany Howard. We are working hard to make this ride a huge success to honor Charlotte's memory. Therefore the ride is now named in Memory of Charlotte.
We hope that you too can help keep her Memory alive by attending this ride and helping us to raise more money for St Jude. Charlotte will be there in Spirit!
