Coldwater Recreation Area Park Rules
▪ Certified copies of a current Coggins test must be furnished to the Division of Forestry for ALL horses that arrive at the Blackwater River State Forest.▪ Horses are not allowed in the camping area or in the vicinity of the pavilion and restrooms.
▪ Horseback riding is restricted to roads and trails designated for their use.
▪ No horses allowed in the creek.
▪ Pets must be on leash or crated. Dogs are NOT allowed on the horse trails. Please be advised that you WILL be fined for allowing your dog(s) on the horse trails. The only exception to this rule is for the field or hunt trials that are "Permitted" by the state park.
▪ Alcohol beverages are not permitted at the Coldwater Recreation Area.
▪ Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.
▪ Facilities must be cleaned prior to departure. Guests are responsible for leaving the stalls, kennels, bath-house, pavilion and grounds clean.
▪ Florida Statue 773.04 includes the following warning: Under Florida law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
▪ Check in time is 2 pm unless approved by the Division of Forestry.
